Day Kayaking

Intro to Kayaking activity is our method to introduce new-comers to the activity or give people an opportunity to try as a prelude to a bigger activity. Minimum age for participants is 14 years. These trips are conducted from Manly. The aim of the activities is to allow you to participate safely in an introduction to kayaking as well as give you an indication to what could be involved in any of our larger Kayaking adventures. You will learn:

  • Getting in and out of your kayak at a pontoon
  • Keeping balance
  • Paddling gear and kayak parts
  • How to hold the paddle, go forward, back, sideways and use turn strokes
  • Basic safety

We do not include assisted rescues or rolling as part of this activity.

If you would like to book this type of kayaking adventure please email us via the contact page.

Historical St Helena Island
